Seocho-gu (Mayor Jeon Seongsu)’s Seocho Single-Person Household Support Center has expanded its care services starting this month to help single-person households maintain a healthy and happy daily life.

First, the ‘Seoripul Health 119’ project, which accompanies and cares for single-person households when they are sick and visit hospitals, has been expanded to support hospital nursing care fees up to 600,000 KRW annually. In addition, hospital accompaniment can be supported up to 5 times a year, and transportation expenses are also supported up to 150,000 KRW annually.

Furthermore, uniquely among Seoul’s autonomous districts, the ‘Home Nursing Care’ service, which visits sick single-person households to assist with cleaning, meals, and more, has been expanded from 5 days per year to 7 days per year.

Also, starting this month, a ‘Welcome Kit’ is newly provided to single-person households who have recently moved into the area. The welcome kit consists of essential items needed for single-person household living (toilet paper, mini tool set, or airtight container - choose one) and a leaflet.

Along with this, since last month, a ‘Digital Door Lock Installation Project’ has been conducted to enhance the safety of single-person households vulnerable to crime, especially in multi-family housing dense areas.

Moreover, the Seocho Single-Person Household Support Center has been operating the ‘Seocho-gu Single-Person Household Comprehensive Guide’ since this month, which consolidates single-person household-related projects run by local community welfare centers or welfare centers in one place to provide guidance and connect necessary services.

For more details, inquiries can be made through the Seocho Single-Person Household Support Center website or the local community service center.

The Seocho Single-Person Household Support Center is the nation’s first welfare institution established by the district to support single-person households, providing services for safety, care, and living convenience. In September, the center will relocate and expand to Yangjae Public Parking Lot, offering approximately 609㎡ of space equipped with a community room, shared kitchen, private zones, counseling rooms, and lecture rooms.

Jeon Seongsu, Mayor of Seocho-gu, said, “We will continue to promote detailed and diverse projects tailored to the needs of Seocho’s single-person households, striving to provide tangible support and assistance.”

Songpa-gu Conducts ‘Official Vehicle Safe Driving Training’ for 160 Public Officials

Safe Driving Training for Driving Officials and Official Vehicle Managers in All Departments

Focused Education on Safety, Defensive Driving, and How to Respond to Traffic Accidents to Prevent Incidents

Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gangseok) conducted ‘Official Vehicle Safe Driving Training’ on the 17th for 160 public officials responsible for driving tasks to strengthen safety in field-centered public service for residents.

With the increase in public officials’ use of official vehicles for fieldwork and the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act emphasizing the obligation to ensure ‘safety and health’ of workers when operating work vehicles, ‘safe driving education’ for driving officials at government offices is becoming increasingly important.

Accordingly, on the 17th, the district held ‘Official Vehicle Safe Driving Training’ for 160 driving officials and official vehicle managers from all departments to raise awareness about safe driving and strengthen their sense of responsibility.

The training was conducted in cooperation with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, the insurance company for the district’s official vehicles, with Lee Seongryeol, Senior Researcher at Samsung Traffic Safety Culture Research Institute, serving as the instructor.

The training covered ▲Characteristics of traffic accidents by season and safe/defensive driving methods ▲On-site measures and handling procedures in case of traffic accidents ▲Guidance on recently amended Road Traffic Act regulations, focusing on preventing traffic accidents through safe driving. Additionally, participants’ understanding was enhanced by watching actual traffic accident videos presenting various cases.

One participant said, “After attending the training, I informed all department staff that enforcement of ‘stop on right turn’ violations will begin in earnest from the 22nd. I will be especially careful and drive safely during public duties.”

The district plans to conduct official vehicle safe driving training annually to ensure all employees maintain a sense of responsibility for driving tasks and comply with related regulations.

Seo Gangseok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “To prevent not only vehicle accidents but all types of safety accidents, public officials will take the lead in creating a safe city, Songpa-gu.”
