Visited Dongdaemun-gu Startup Support Center to Listen to Business Difficulties
‘2023 Resident Communication Meeting’: The City Also Visited Sites of Resident Suggestions to Seek Solutions
On the afternoon of the 21st, Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Lee Pil-hyung visited the Dongdaemun-gu Startup Support Center as the third site of the ‘On-site Mayor’s Office.’ Since this month, Mayor Lee has been operating ‘On-site Mayor’s Office, Walking Dongdaemun’ to address current issues and public welfare by visiting various locations.
On this day, Mayor Lee met with company representatives residing in Buildings A and B of the Dongdaemun-gu Startup Support Center to encourage them, then moved to the basement first-floor meeting room to listen to the voices of tenant companies and discuss the development direction of startup support policies.
The district plans to reflect the opinions of company representatives and improve ▲common spaces in the Startup Support Center ▲environmental maintenance according to the industries of tenant companies, through consultations with related departments and affiliated organizations.
Additionally, Mayor Lee visited the ‘Fashion Sewing Support Center,’ ‘Social Economy Hub Center,’ and ‘Career and Job Experience Support Center’ located in the same building to meet with staff, listen to their difficulties, and discuss practical measures such as facility repairs and operational improvements.
Before visiting the Dongdaemun-gu Startup Support Center, Mayor Lee also visited the ‘Jeonnong-dong Transfer Station Site,’ which was a resident suggestion from Jeonnong 2-dong during the ‘2023 Resident Communication Meeting,’ and met on-site with representatives from the University of Seoul, the site owner, urging active cooperation to resolve related complaints.
Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Lee Pil-hyung said, “Meeting residents on-site has clarified and made the direction and goals for Dongdaemun-gu more definite,” adding, “Along with the facility inspection of the Dongdaemun-gu Startup Support Center, I will continue to find answers on-site, carefully address residents’ inconveniences, and take the lead in caring for public welfare.”
