Celebration Performances by 16 Popular Singers Including Jin Simon and Kim Dana
Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that the national singing contest to select the king of singers, ‘Namdo National Singing Contest,’ will be held during the Hwasun Dolmen Festival from the 28th to the 29th.
‘Namdo National Singing Contest’ will take place from the 28th to the 29th during the ‘2023 Hwasun Dolmen Festival,’ a 10-day spring flower time travel event running from the 21st to the 30th.
All Korean citizens can participate regardless of their region, and participants will have the opportunity to compete with many popular singers.
Moreover, participants from all over the country, including Jeju Island, Gangwon Province, the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, and Yeongnam region, have applied, promising a rich and diverse performance.
‘Namdo National Singing Contest’ will be held on the main stage of the Hwasun Dolmen Festival, with preliminaries on the 28th and the final round to determine the ultimate winner on the 29th.
Established as a competition ground for musicians, ‘Namdo National Singing Contest’ has been uniquely conducted as a contest between professional singers and amateurs, preceding shows like ‘Miss Trot.’ Now in its third year, it is emerging as one of the top singing contests.
In particular, among the musicians participating in the preliminaries on the 28th are popular professional singers, making the competition between professionals and amateur singers highly anticipated.
The final round celebration stage will be illuminated by Jin Simon, Kim Dana, Son Jeongyun, Yang Haktae, Second, Kings Band, and ELRIS, while the preliminary celebration stage will feature local musicians such as Go Yunmi, Kim Donggyu, Kim Miyeon, Park Chiyoung, Bultaesan, Shim Jaepil, Yoo Yeonju, and Hong Supil, showcasing their unique vocal styles to tourists and participants.
Meanwhile, this singing contest is being held for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, with the grand prize increased to 5 million won, encouraging many participants and the discovery of popular culture artists. Additionally, all participants will receive a 10,000 won Hwasun Love Gift Certificate.
