"Purchased Due to Increased Time Spent in the US," Analysis
Bang Si-hyuk, chairman of HYBE, reportedly purchased a luxury mansion worth over $26 million (approximately 35 billion KRW) in the upscale West LA neighborhood of Bel Air on the 20th.
According to Dirt, a U.S. real estate media outlet, Chairman Bang bought a mansion located on Stradella Road in Bel Air, the most affluent neighborhood in Los Angeles, California, last year for $26.4 million (about 35 billion KRW).
The seller was reported to be American comedian Trevor Noah. He had purchased the mansion from architect Mark Rios at the end of 2020 for $27.5 million (approximately 36.5 billion KRW).

Built by Mark Rios in 2017 on a hilltop for residential purposes, this mansion is three stories tall. It offers over 1,020㎡ (309 pyeong) of living space, featuring six bedrooms and more than nine bathrooms.
It includes a library, gym, lounge, and a separate wine room at a five-star hotel level, along with dedicated staff to manage the house. Additionally, there is a yard, outdoor kitchen and bar, infinity pool, sauna, massage facilities, and a rooftop terrace.
The media outlet explained the reason for the purchase, stating, "Chairman Bang has been spending more time in the U.S. in recent years to expand the company (HYBE) within the United States."
Bel Air is known as the most luxurious complex in West LA, home to Hollywood celebrities and famous sports stars.
Meanwhile, Chairman Bang founded Big Hit Entertainment, the predecessor of HYBE, in 2005 and nurtured the group BTS in 2013.
In May of last year, he ranked 11th on Forbes Korea’s list of the top 50 richest people in Korea. At that time, Chairman Bang’s net worth was reported to be 4.1916 trillion KRW.
