Yoon Hee-geun, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, emphasized the importance of education once again on the 20th, stating, "Education is the most important factor for the police to develop capabilities that meet the public's expectations."

On the same day, Commissioner Yoon visited the Police Human Resources Development Institute in Asan, Chungnam, to review the progress of the police education reform and encourage trainees in the sergeant competency enhancement course. He visited the class for sergeants, who are middle managers in the police force, and urged them to "continue striving to become trusted middle managers."


Song Byung-il, Director of the Police Human Resources Development Institute, stated, "We will thoroughly reflect the job training demands from the field of public safety and provide high-quality specialized education," adding, "We plan to implement a large-scale education reform by setting strategic tasks such as systematizing the education curriculum and standardizing the educational content."
