PD Notebook Focuses Intensely on JMS's Second-in-Command Jeong Joeun
Additional sexual exploitation of female followers by Jung Myung-seok, the leader of the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS), has been revealed.
Jung Joeun (real name Kim Ji-sun), the second-in-command of JMS, played an active role in managing female followers and providing sexual favors to Jung Myung-seok during his overseas escape, imprisonment, and after his release.
This information was broadcast on the 18th on MBC's current affairs program 'PD Notebook' under the title 'The Leader and Accomplices.'

The episode, directed by Jo Sung-hyun, who also worked on the Netflix documentary 'I Am God: People Betrayed by God,' focused on Pastor Jung Joeun, known as the 'second-in-command' of JMS.
Jung Joeun, who rapidly secured her position as second-in-command by providing female followers to Jung Myung-seok and gaining his trust, classified the female followers approved by Jung Myung-seok as 'stars' and managed them separately. Testimonies revealed that there were over 1,000 followers classified as stars.
According to whistleblowers, Jung Myung-seok's bizarre sexual exploitation did not stop even during his imprisonment. There were also revelations that female followers were forced to have plaster casts made of their naked bodies, including their genitals, and to send photos. JMS reportedly combined the plaster photos of genitals with flower buds to avoid detection by prison guards.
A former member who identified herself as a star said, "One day, Jung Myung-seok sent a letter telling me to go to another (female) pastor. When I went, that pastor told me to take off my clothes. Since it was in front of a female pastor, I took off my clothes, and she was very pleased. Then she said, 'We could make a sculpture,' and applied silicone all over my body. My skin pores were completely blocked, making it hard to breathe, and I collapsed."
She added, "When making the full-body plaster cast, I posed, and when making the cast of the genital area separately, I spread my legs to make it visible."
In response to the allegations against her, Jung Joeun claimed, "I vaguely knew about it but never participated. I can firmly say that the accusers have no connection with me at all." She also stated, "That person (the victim) did come to me for faith counseling, but there was no mention of this matter (sexual exploitation)."
Meanwhile, Jung Joeun was arrested on the 18th on charges of being an accomplice in the sexual assault of female followers ahead of the broadcast. She is accused of luring women and actively participating in Jung Myung-seok's sexual assault crimes (quasi-rape). The prosecution judged her as a co-principal offender considering her involvement and role in Jung Myung-seok's sexual assault crimes, applying the charge of quasi-rape rather than aiding and abetting.
