Once-Daily Therapy at Bedtime
Taeguk Pharmaceutical announced on the 18th that it has launched 'Readyclozol Tablets,' effective for treating female vaginitis.
The new product Readyclozol Tablets is an antifungal agent with clotrimazole as the main ingredient in suppository form, used to treat candidal vaginitis.
Candidal vaginitis is a common condition experienced at least once by about 75% of women of reproductive age. It is caused by a fungal infection called 'Candida albicans,' with major symptoms including itching, burning sensation, dysuria, and white, curd-like discharge. Candida infection can cause vaginitis symptoms due to factors such as immune suppression from steroid use, prolonged antibiotic use, diabetes, or wearing tight clothing.
Readyclozol Tablets can be used only by children aged 12 and older and adults, and it is recommended not to use during menstruation. The general usage method is to insert 100 mg of clotrimazole deep into the vagina once daily at bedtime for six consecutive days. For short-term therapy, insert 200 mg of clotrimazole once daily at bedtime for three consecutive days.
A representative from Taeguk Pharmaceutical stated, "Candidal vaginitis is one of the conditions many women experience. It is important to avoid wearing tight clothing and to keep the vulva dry. If infected with vaginitis, we hope patients will treat it quickly and conveniently with Readyclozol Tablets."
