Support for Medical Expenses and Integrated Care Center Projects for Low-Income Pediatric Patients
Jungkook of BTS has made a donation to Seoul National University Children's Hospital for pediatric patients.
Seoul National University Children's Hospital announced on the 18th that Jungkook donated 1 billion KRW on the 14th to support sick children and their families. The donation will be used for medical expenses for children from low-income families and for the Integrated Care Center project.
The hospital treats children with severe rare incurable diseases, pediatric cancer, and leukemia from all over the country. In particular, the hospital operates the Integrated Care Center to support not only the patients' illnesses but also their holistic recovery and their families. However, the hospital explained that the Integrated Care Center project is difficult to sustain without sponsorship, as the children's hospital operates at a deficit.
In this situation, a hospital official emphasized that Jungkook's donation will be a great comfort to the patients and their families.
Choi Eun-hwa, director of Seoul National University Children's Hospital, said, "Taking care of children's health is like determining their entire lifetime, so sponsorship is an investment in the future and hope, and it gives relief and peace to exhausted families. We will do our best as all members of the children's hospital to make good use of this grateful sponsorship and send our children back home, to school, and to their families and friends in good health."
Jungkook said, "I hope this can be of some help to children who are going through pain, and I support that children can smile healthily."
