Public-Private Partnership Open Innovation Program

The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 17th that it held the first "Gangnam Embraces Digital" public-private cooperation open innovation program jointly with Gangnam-gu at the COEX Startup Branch. The event was organized to support the digitalization of administration by introducing innovative technologies into Gangnam-gu's administration and to provide participating innovative companies with opportunities for technology verification with local governments.



Martial Arts, '1st Gangnam Embracing Digital' Held... 10 Outstanding Companies Selected The Korea International Trade Association held the "1st Gangnam Embracing Digital" event jointly with Gangnam-gu at the COEX Startup Branch in Samseong-dong on the 17th. Jeong Manki, Vice Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, is looking around the products of participating companies.

This project, launched for the first time this year, received applications from 111 companies possessing innovative technologies. Presentations and product exhibitions were held for 10 companies that passed document and face-to-face evaluations. ▲The technologies of the companies finally selected in the fields of administration, safety, welfare, environment, and transportation will be introduced into administration in collaboration with Gangnam-gu to build a smart city and provide convenience to residents. Additionally, the selected companies will receive support opportunities for marketing and market development through technology demonstration projects and participation in major domestic and international exhibitions.


Jung Manki, Vice Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, said, “Startups are emerging as new game changers,” adding, “We should also replace the existing procurement method, which is centered on track records, with innovative technologies verified through technology validation so that various innovative products or services of startups can be utilized in public institutions.” He continued, “The Korea International Trade Association will continue to strive to support scale-up by providing a platform for collaboration and verification between the public sector and startups.”
