Hyundai AutoEver Hosts App Development Contest to Support Vulnerable Groups

Hyundai AutoEver announced on the 17th that it will hold an application (app) development contest to help socially vulnerable groups.

This barrier-free app development contest, aimed at university students (including graduate students), is supported by Hyundai AutoEver and the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest. It is organized by the Green Light Corporation and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Institute of Special Education.

Now in its 7th year, the barrier-free app development contest invites various ideas from university students to improve the convenience of life for socially vulnerable groups. Over the past six years, the contest has supported the creation of a total of 51 apps for vulnerable groups.

Hyundai AutoEver provides customized expert training necessary for app development, mentoring from employees, and production support funds. This year, all schedules are planned to be conducted in person.

Selected teams will receive 5 million KRW in app production support funds, online expert training, and a total of 40 mentoring sessions. Teams selected as outstanding will be awarded the Minister of Science and ICT Award (Grand Prize) and other awards from the hosting and sponsoring organizations, along with a total prize money of 10 million KRW.

Additionally, teams that participated last year and continue to develop their apps will receive additional production support funds. Idea submissions are open until the 21st of next month. Teams of three university (or graduate) students capable of app development can apply through the website.
