Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam: "Creating a Healthy Goseong Without Dementia Worries" Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a walking event under the theme "Healthy Goseong Without Dementia Worries," with about 500 local residents participating.

The course was a 3 km round trip crossing the Haejigae Bridge, where participants could enjoy the magnificent view of the Goseong sea, turning at the turnaround point. Along the route, participants appreciated health information and dementia awareness posters displayed throughout the course, making it a meaningful day of walking together in unity.

The county placed safety personnel at regular intervals to ensure that all participants could complete the course comfortably, prioritizing safety above all.

At the event site, there were booths offering various experiences along with a pre-event performance and opening ceremony.

In addition to various health projects (dementia, smoking cessation, mental health, infectious diseases, etc.), promotional booths provided useful information from the police station (dementia elderly missing prevention campaign), fire station (fire extinguisher and CPR experience), volunteer center, comprehensive social welfare center, and Expo promotion center.

County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, “As the elderly population increases, interest in dementia is also rising. Dementia requires warm consideration rather than negative perceptions. Through this walk, I hope to inform local residents about various health projects and improve negative perceptions of dementia.”
