The National Gwangju Science Museum and the Korea Federation of Science and Technology Societies Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Association recently announced on the 16th that they successfully held the 2nd Artificial Intelligence Odyssey Forum.
The event was held on the 15th at the Imagination Hall of the Gwangju Science Museum under the theme "In the Era of AI Chat GPT, What is True Creativity?" with over 160 students, teachers, and parents participating.
Lee Si-han, CEO of SH Future Talent Research Institute, delivered the keynote speech titled "GPT Generation," and panelists included Ryu Si-won, professor at Chonnam National University Law School, Yoo Hyun-seok, education officer at Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, and Jeon Mun-gu, professor in the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology.
Students and parents were able to find answers through discussions and questions about various curiosities regarding Chat GPT, how future society might change, and what we need to prepare for.
They also reported that they could understand the positive and negative aspects that Chat GPT will bring through detailed explanations from experts.
Jeon Tae-ho, acting director of the Gwangju Science Museum, said, “I was surprised by the high level of knowledge and active interest in Chat GPT shown by the students and parents at this forum.”
