Orbit Insertion Complete
China successfully launched a meteorological satellite for weather observation and ecological environment purposes on the 16th.
China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), the country's largest aerospace enterprise, announced that it launched Fengyun-3G from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu Province at around 9:36 a.m. local time.
Chinese authorities stated that the satellite has entered orbit and completed its mission. The satellite is expected to be used for weather forecasting, natural disaster prevention, climate change response, and ecological civilization construction.
