Global furniture and construction company Hafele Group is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and plans to participate in the world's largest furniture and interior fittings exhibition, interzum. Together with various partners in the furniture industry, Hafele will showcase diverse expressions of its future vision and insights spanning 100 years. The interzum exhibition will be held from May 9 to 12.
Gregor Riekena, CEO of Hafele Group, stated, “Through participating in interzum, we look forward to engaging with global furniture industry experts and creatively exchanging our thoughts and ideas. Since Hafele Group is interested in more than just product innovation, we aim to collaborate with furniture industry partners to develop solutions for future living and working environments that provide maximum benefits.”
At interzum, Hafele will introduce innovative furniture and interior lighting featuring special designs commemorating its 100th anniversary. Visitors can experience demonstrations at the lighting booth showcasing products that combine Hafele’s furniture and lighting, the interaction between lighting and fittings, and indoor lighting solutions. Notably, the ‘Blackbox’ project, developed in collaboration with Nimbus, will allow visitors to explore various possibilities of indoor and furniture lighting. This project is raising expectations among planners in woodworking and interior design fields.
Kitchen furniture designed to make kitchens even more special will also be presented. At the Hafele exhibition booth, a variety of kitchen furniture will be introduced, including lighting, innovative flap fitting solutions, fittings such as drawer components and handles, sinks, splashback panels, electrical appliances, and food waste separation systems.
A Hafele Group representative expressed ambition, saying, “Hafele will showcase its innovative product competitiveness at this fair as a one-stop shop handling all accessories needed to plan kitchens of various sizes and needs.”
For customers who find it difficult to attend the exhibition in Germany, Hafele Discoveries is also prepared. Hafele Discoveries is a separate platform serving as a virtual exhibition booth and showroom, allowing visitors to explore the world of Hafele anytime even after the exhibition. It offers the latest furniture product trends and operates a live stage for individual communication with customers.”
Meanwhile, Hafele has subsidiaries in 38 countries and employs over 8,500 people. In 2022, it achieved sales of approximately 1.87 billion euros.
