Inventage Lab is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by news that the Presidential Office is examining drug addiction treatment and that a 'Comprehensive Mental Health Plan' is expected to be announced.
As of 9:34 AM on the 14th, Inventage Lab is trading at 11,140 KRW, up 3.92% compared to the previous day.
According to the Presidential Office and government departments the day before, President Yoon recently warned about the drug recidivism rate and instructed to "separately examine addiction treatment and addiction issues." This comes amid an expanding scope of drug-related harm, such as the 'drug beverage' incident in the Daechi-dong academy district, with the judgment that simple investigation and crackdown alone could destabilize the management system.
The Presidential Office itself has begun establishing a comprehensive mental health plan that includes not only drug addiction but also suicide issues. This is because existing methods have not been effective in preventing and managing social problems caused by mental harm.
The National Mental Health Center has started preparing to establish a comprehensive mental health organization for drug treatment and rehabilitation. The goal is to design a system that guides drug addicts from detection to treatment at medical institutions through judicial measures. Internally, a full survey of 21 specialized drug addiction treatment hospitals nationwide and non-designated institutions with treatment records will be conducted.
Meanwhile, Inventage Lab is a company specializing in long-acting injectable drugs and LNP (lipid nanoparticle) manufacturing platforms. In January, it received approval from the Australian Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) for the Phase 1 clinical trial plan (IND) of ‘IVL3004,’ a long-acting injectable drug for alcohol and drug addiction treatment.
According to Inventage Lab, it is expected to improve patient medication adherence by maintaining the same efficacy as existing injectables while reducing side effects such as hepatotoxicity, nausea, headache, and dizziness.
