The Sports Association of Subi-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducted a "Neighborly Love Practice Event" at 21 senior centers in the area on April 13 to personally visit and express gratitude to the village elders who shared the same sentiment for the 6th Subi-myeon Residents Yutnori event held last March for the purpose of community harmony.
Members of the Subi-myeon Sports Association personally delivered "ramen and coffee" collected with small sincerity to 21 senior centers in the region.
Through this event, they had a meaningful time visiting the elders in person, exchanging greetings, and soothing the regret of not being able to visit frequently until now.
Bae Un-seok, president of the Subi-myeon Sports Association, said, "I am very glad to see the faces of the elders again, and as the daily life lost due to COVID-19 is being restored, we will continue to promote events that add meaning through warm neighborly love."
Park Kyung-hae, head of Subi-myeon, also said, "I deeply thank the Subi-myeon Sports Association for practicing neighborly love in our area, and since the elders have experienced many inconveniences in using the senior centers due to social distancing, I hope their hearts are filled with the joy of daily life recovery."
