Standard Model Price Starting from 46.54 Million Won

Hyundai Motor Company launched the second-generation fully redesigned model of the compact electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) Kona on the 13th.

The Kona Electric (EV) is equipped with a 64.8kWh battery, allowing it to travel 417 km on a single charge based on domestic certification standards. This is the highest level among vehicles in the same class (based on long-range and 17-inch wheels).

Hyundai first conceptualized the electric vehicle model in the design of the new Kona. While inheriting the design of the previous generation, it also embodies a futuristic feel. In particular, it emphasizes a sleek curved design refined from the bumper to the hood. This design not only highlights the volume of the body but also lowers the aerodynamic coefficient (0.27), which indicates air resistance.

The Kona EV exclusive color options include Meta Blue Pearl for the exterior and an Eco Package (Dark Gray) for the interior. Choosing the Eco Package applies eco-friendly natural leather and suede seats, as well as headlining and floor mats made from recycled materials.

The Kona EV comes standard with ▲over-the-air (OTA) software updates to keep the vehicle always up to date ▲next-generation infotainment system ccNC ▲e-Hi-Pass, which allows payment without a physical card by linking with KakaoPay.

Additionally, core safety features such as ▲Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) ▲Highway Driving Assist (HDA) ▲Lane Following Assist (LFA) ▲Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC; safety zones and curved roads) are standard on all models. Furthermore, additional convenience features such as ▲Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2) ▲Head-Up Display ▲Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC; highway on/off ramps) ▲Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) are available as options.

The Kona EV sales prices are 46.54 million KRW for the Standard model Premium, 49.68 million KRW for the Long-Range model Premium, and 53.23 million KRW for the Inspiration model (prices before electric vehicle tax benefits). After applying electric vehicle purchase subsidies and individual consumption tax benefits, the Standard model can be purchased for the mid-30 million KRW range, and the Long-Range model for the mid-30 million KRW range as well.
