The Job-Invention Compensation Excellent Company certification system selects companies that fairly compensate employees for inventions made during their job duties. Certified companies receive benefits such as prioritized examination of patents, utility models, and designs for two years, reductions in annual registration fees, and additional points when selected for government-supported projects.
Leading in intellectual property management, Gaon Group has established and operates internal job-invention compensation regulations at the group level. Following Gaon Group’s certification last year, this year its subsidiary Gaon Broadband received additional certification in recognition of its fair and rational system operation. This acknowledges efforts to enhance employees’ professional capabilities and encourage technological development activities.
A company representative explained, “Since technology in the ICT field advances rapidly, strategic intellectual property management is essential. Gaon Group is securing domestic and international patents through years of systematic intellectual property management.”
Furthermore, they added, “We will actively implement related compensation systems to accelerate the securing of core technologies not only in existing business sectors but also in new business areas, thereby boosting company competitiveness and motivating employees.”
Meanwhile, Gaon Group is expanding its business portfolio through subsidiaries in addition to its AI OTT solution business, including ▲ network solutions ▲ XR solutions ▲ robot integrated platforms. Last year, it was recognized for securing standard patents in the OTT solution sector and received the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the ‘2022 ICT Patent Management Awards.’
