Greeting Supporters with a Bright Smile
Lunch with Monks... No Political Remarks Made
Former President Park Geun-hye, who had been laying low since moving into her residence in Dalseong-gun, Daegu last March, made her first official outing on the 11th.
At around 10:30 a.m. that day, Park visited Donghwasa Temple on Palgongsan Mountain in Dong-gu, Daegu, appearing with her trademark upswept hair, wearing a white top, beige pants, and a pearl necklace.
About 100 supporters gathered in front of the Unification Great Buddha, chanting Park's name. Former President Park responded to the warm welcome with a bright expression, raising her hand to greet and shaking hands with some supporters.
It is reported that Park had lunch with Venerable Euigyeon and other Donghwasa officials.

When moving around the Donghwasa grounds, Park used a vehicle, and she stumbled several times while climbing stairs. When people nearby asked if she was okay, Park briefly replied, "If I don't watch my steps carefully, I tend to fall."
As it was her first public outing, there was much attention, but Park refrained from any political remarks. Her close aide, lawyer Yoo Young-ha, told reporters, "She came out after a long time, so please help her have a comfortable visit."
Former President Park has focused solely on recovering her health without any political activities or public schedules. According to lawyer Yoo, Park plans to visit traditional markets and meet citizens in the future.
