Cryptocurrency exchange GDAC has suffered a hacking incident.
According to GDAC, around 7 a.m. on the 9th, a hack occurred in GDAC's hot wallet, resulting in some assets being sent to an unidentified wallet.
The hacked assets include 60.80864074 Bitcoin (BTC), 350.50 Ethereum (ETH), 10 million WEMIX, and 220,000 Tether (USDT), accounting for about 23% of GDAC's total stored assets.
GDAC announced that it has suspended and blocked the wallet system (deposit and withdrawal system) and related servers, reported the incident to the police, and requested a cyber investigation.
GDAC also reported the damage to the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and requested support.
