Photos with Students and a Handwritten Letter from Kim Yeosa Also Revealed
It has been reported that First Lady Kim Keon-hee, wife of President Yoon Suk-yeol, recently received a letter and photos from a student she taught during her student teaching practicum.
According to the presidential office on the 10th, Mrs. Kim received a thank-you letter and photos from a student, Mr. A, whom she taught at Gwangnam Middle School in Seoul in 1998. At that time, Mrs. Kim was completing her student teaching practicum while pursuing a master's degree in art education at Sookmyung Women's University, after graduating from the painting department at Kyonggi University.
In April 1998, Mrs. Kim took photos with students at a drawing contest held at Children's Grand Park. On the back of the photo was a letter personally written by Mrs. Kim to Mr. A.
In the letter, Mrs. Kim wrote, "The moment of parting is approaching, and I am very sorry. It feels like the time has just come for us to truly get to know each other." At the end of the letter, it was signed "Student Teacher Kim Myung-shin (Mrs. Kim's name before changing it)."

In the letter, Mr. A recalled, "(Mrs. Kim) actively communicated by taking extra time after school to participate in rehearsals for the school-wide choir competition, beyond her assigned student teaching duties in art," and added, "She devoted more care than a homeroom teacher."
He also wrote, "(Mrs. Kim) called each student by name on the last day and gave gifts including the drawing contest photo taken together along with the handwritten letter," and "Many classmates still remember the student teacher who cried heavily during the final farewell."
In the letter, Mr. A wrote, "During the recent presidential election process, many friends were heartbroken seeing the student teacher suffer from various slanders," and reportedly sent a message of support to Mrs. Kim.
