According to Hanwha Hotels & Resorts on the 10th, due to a temporary system error, some customers' reservation information booked until June 30 was exposed during reservation confirmation from the 6th to the morning of the 7th. As of 9 a.m. on the 7th, only room reservation cases were affected, with leaked information including names, phone numbers, resort region names, and check-in dates.
The company stated through a website notice that it was "an interface error in the Hanwha Resort homepage DB server" and that "upon recognizing this fact, it immediately reported to the Personal Information Protection Commission." Additionally, as a compensation measure, it announced that customers who may have been exposed will be provided with a Hanwha Resort online gift certificate worth 30,000 KRW by the 14th.
Users can check whether their personal information was leaked through the 'Personal Information Exposure Check' on the website and then confirm how to receive compensation. Hanwha Hotels & Resorts expressed "deep responsibility for the occurrence of such an incident."
