Netmarble Virtual Idol Maeve Appointed as Kakao Webtoon Indonesia Ambassador

Netmarble announced on the 10th that Marti, a member of the virtual idol group 'MAVE:', has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Kakao Webtoon Indonesia. To commemorate this ambassador appointment, the MAVE webtoon 'MAVE: Another World' will be serialized on Kakao Webtoon Indonesia starting from the 15th.

Debuting in January this year with the album 'Pandora's Box,' MAVE is a group that combines Kakao Entertainment's entertainment capabilities with the technological expertise of Metaverse Entertainment (a Netmarble F&C subsidiary). Marti, who crash-landed in Jakarta, Indonesia, and can communicate in Indonesian, has been gaining popularity locally, leading to her appointment as the brand ambassador.

To celebrate the launch of the MAVE webtoon, a commentary video featuring Marti introducing 'MAVE: Another World' in Indonesian will be released in April. On the webtoon launch day, events such as a sticker challenge where readers transform into webtoon characters and take photos with the characters to MAVE's songs will be held through the global video service 'TikTok.'

The webtoon 'MAVE: Another World' is a multiverse story based on the MAVE universe. It tells the story of the four members (Siwoo, Jena, Taira, and Marti) who crash-land in South Korea, participate in an idol audition, and grow into a dazzling idol girl group and warriors who change the future.

The webtoon emphasizes visual enjoyment by focusing on the depiction of MAVE members' appearances and stage performances. It began serialization on Kakao Webtoon in Korea in February and surpassed 1 million cumulative views in just over a month.

The webtoon 'MAVE: Another World' also started serialization in Japan on March 31. It is scheduled to be released on Kakao Webtoon Indonesia, Taiwan, and Thailand on the 15th, on Tapas on the 16th, and in France on the 25th of next month.
