Previously, since July last year, BGF Retail has purchased 400 tons of sweet potatoes from Gochang and sold them as instant roasted sweet potatoes at CU stores nationwide. Due to the excellent product quality of freshly harvested sweet potatoes from the production area receiving great customer response, an additional 100 tons of Gochang sweet potatoes will be purchased this year. They also plan to purchase 100 tons of soybeans from Gimje, the largest soybean production area in the country, to be used in the production of convenience foods.

BGF Retail CEO Geonjun Lee said, “Through expanding win-win cooperation with local governments, we will introduce differentiated products using excellent domestic agricultural products and contribute to increasing farmers' income. In addition to developing specialized products tailored to regional characteristics, we will consider various cooperation plans as a more active marketing channel.”
