Namjeong Health Center Opens, 8 Health Centers Established

Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Kim Gwang-yeol) is installing Health Vitality Centers at eight health centers, starting with Namjeong Health Center, to realize customized self-health management for local residents as part of the 8th term public pledge projects.

The first Health Vitality Center, established last year at Namjeong Health Center, is equipped with customized osteoporosis treatment and prevention equipment, as well as more than 10 types of lower body strength training equipment, allowing residents to freely use the facilities and manage their own health.

In addition, to ensure safe use and maximize health benefits, professional training for exercise prescription specialists is being conducted, receiving great response from the residents of Namjeong-myeon.

Kim Jae-hee, Director of the County Health Center, stated, “We plan to sequentially install Health Vitality Centers at health centers in eight relatively medically underserved myeon areas, providing various services and education so that residents can lead healthy daily lives.”
