Gyeonggi Province will conduct capacity-building training for personnel responsible for preventing child abuse in daycare centers within the province.
The province announced on the 7th that on the 11th at 1 p.m., it will hold capacity-building training for officials in charge of preventing and inspecting child abuse at daycare centers in 31 cities and counties at the main auditorium on the first floor of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government building.
This training is designed to enhance the expertise of public officials responsible for preventing and inspecting child abuse at daycare centers and to facilitate the exchange of opinions.
Experts will provide education on child abuse prevention, on-site and online financial accounting inspections, relevant laws, and case studies.
The province will also distribute 12,000 copies of promotional materials on eradicating child abuse and online financial accounting inspections.
To ensure transparent management of public finances, the province introduced financial accounting and online inspections nationwide for the first time last year.
Additionally, it is focusing on establishing a systematic childcare environment by efficiently inspecting the installation and operation status of CCTV (closed-circuit television) in daycare centers.
Yoon Young-mi, Director of the Childcare Policy Division of the province, explained, "This training is being conducted to create a transparent and safe childcare environment that parents can trust and rely on."
