The arrest warrant for Assemblyman Kim Chang-ho, who is accused of violating the Public Official Election Act and other charges related to the so-called 'Gyeongnam Uiryeong County Council Padding Jumper Gift Incident,' was dismissed.

According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency on the 5th, Assemblyman Kim is accused of gifting padding jumpers worth approximately 5 million won to 10 fellow county council members and 15 council staff members through the council's administrative department last December.

When controversy arose over the provision of the padding, Assemblyman Kim explained in a press release last January, "In November of last year, I attended a demonstration at a livestock feed factory and, while talking with the representative of a local company, the topic of sponsoring uniforms came up, so I delivered the padding jumpers through the administrative department staff," adding, "I did not consider the possibility of violating the law."

Han Ji-hyung, the judge in charge of the warrant at the Masan branch of Changwon District Court, dismissed the arrest warrant during the substantive examination of the warrant for Assemblyman Kim, stating, "At this stage, there is insufficient evidence to prove the allegations."
