Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk Province, operates the Gochang City Tour, allowing visitors to explore the historical, cultural, and tourist attractions of the Gochang area all at once.
According to the county on the 6th, the city tour is a product that lets visitors experience Gochang’s major tourist sites and World Heritage sites in one trip. A circular bus service operates with two buses per day on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
The route includes Seokjeong Hot Springs Tourist Site - Gochang Terminal - Ungok Ramsar Wetland - Seonunsan Provincial Park - Sangha Farm - Dolmen Museum - Gochang Terminal - and a visit to Gochang Eupseong Fortress before returning.
In particular, during the Barley Field Festival in April, the tour will also pass through the Gochang Barley Fields, and from next month, the route will be changed to include Sangha Farm.
To use the city tour bus, on-site registration is available until departure. The fare is 2,000 KRW per person, and children under 36 months ride free. However, entrance fees to tourist sites, experience fees, and lunch costs are individually borne.
A county official said, “In celebration of the 2023 World Heritage City Gochang Visit Year, we will do our best to operate the Gochang City Tour bus for the convenience of travelers visiting Gochang,” adding, “We will promote Gochang’s diverse events, festivals, and tourist attractions to attract more visitors.”
