Yonsei University Institute of Medical Law and Ethics Holds Public Hearing on 'Healthcare Artificial Intelligence' Ethics Guidelines

The Institute of Medical Law and Ethics at Yonsei University announced on the 5th that it will hold a "Public Hearing on the Development of Ethical Guidelines and Ethics Education Programs for Healthcare Artificial Intelligence Research and Utilization" on the 7th.


This public hearing is organized to enhance understanding of healthcare AI research ethics and to gather diverse opinions from citizens and experts regarding the development of ethical guidelines and education programs.

As AI technology development in the healthcare sector accelerates and its social utilization expands, international organizations and countries around the world are preparing related ethical guidelines and legislation. Although various AI ethics education programs have been developed domestically, there have been limitations in applying them when researchers or developers actually plan or conduct research.


The public hearing will include presentations and discussions on topics such as ▲Healthcare AI Research Ethics Guidelines and Education Development Project ▲Ethical Awareness and Educational Demand Related to Healthcare AI Research ▲Healthcare AI Research Ethics Guidelines ▲Healthcare AI Research Ethics Education.


Based on the results of the public hearing, the Institute of Medical Law and Ethics at Yonsei University plans to develop ethical guidelines and education programs for healthcare AI research and utilization.
