On the 5th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that a man in his 40s, Mr. A, suspected of handing out drinks containing drug ingredients to passersby, voluntarily appeared at the police station and is under investigation.
Mr. A is suspected of giving drinks containing drug ingredients to high school students near Gangnam-gu Office Station in Seoul on the 3rd. He reportedly deceived them by saying, "This is a tasting event for a newly developed drink that improves memory and enhances concentration."
Earlier, the police arrested a 49-year-old woman, Ms. B, who handed out drinks near Daechi Station, at 1:30 a.m. in Dongdaemun-gu on the same day. Additionally, the police are tracking two other women involved in the same crime: one in her 40s and one in her 20s. The police have received six related reports.
