Traffic Light Support Collapses... 40-Year-Old Woman Dies
A traffic light support pole collapsed, resulting in the death of a woman in her 40s.
According to the Bundang Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on the 5th, at around 9:45 a.m., a traffic light support pole in Jeongja-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam City, fell toward the sidewalk, causing the bridge railing to collapse.
Another person in their 30s who was hit by the structure is currently reported to be in serious condition.
A police official stated, "It appears the accident occurred as the support pole holding the traffic light fell toward the bridge intersection," adding, "We are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident."
