Busan City Holds 'MICE Content Contest' to Expand MICE Industry Base

May 22 to June 30, Content Contest Held

Busan City will hold the "13th Busan MICE Content Contest" from May 22 to June 30 to expand the base of the MICE industry and revitalize the local economy.

The contest covers three areas: ▲ Planning and attraction proposals for MICE events (exhibitions, international conferences, etc.) utilizing "hybrid strategies" in response to the endemic era ▲ Discovery of unique venues in Busan and proposals for event plans ▲ Proposals for tourism programs for MICE participants visiting Busan.


Individuals or teams of up to four people can apply, and submission documents must be sent by email, mail, or in person to the Busan Tourism MICE Promotion Association by June 30.


However, works that are already in operation, have won awards in other contests, or simply imitate similar cases are restricted from submission.


Application forms can be downloaded from the Busan City Hall or MICE Worknet websites.


Starting this year, the honorable mention category will be eliminated, and the number of encouragement awards will increase from three to five teams, selecting a total of eight plans: Grand Prize (1), Excellence Award (2), and Encouragement Award (5).


In particular, this year, proposals for tourism programs for MICE participants visiting Busan will be accepted and actively utilized in Busan City's policy establishment and tourism program operation.


Award-winning works will be provided to the MICE Alliance, and special benefits such as preferential application to the "BEXCO Regional Private Exhibition Organizer Support Project" and the "Busan City Private-Hosted Exhibition and Conference Support Project" will be given when hosting events using the awarded works. The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held as a side event during the second half MICE Festival.


An official from the city stated, "We ask for active interest and participation from citizens in this contest to expand the base of the Busan MICE industry and revitalize the local economy."
