Using Video Education Solutions
Improving the Quality of Student Classes
Daegu Cyber University recently established its own ‘DCU Video Education Platform’ using an external video education solution to improve the quality of students' classes.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many universities competed to support classes by utilizing real-time video systems and remote education through various programs such as Zoom and Google Meet.
However, with the proliferation of many programs, students faced the inconvenience of having to install different programs depending on the class.
In response, Daegu Cyber University built the ‘DCU Video Education Platform’ to meet the needs of the education market for real-time video education and to lead the post-COVID-19 era.
The newly established platform allows students to attend classes through video education systems by accessing the classroom, and after the class ends, they can review and supplement parts they missed through automatically saved recorded videos.
The ‘DCU Video Education Platform’ operates by linking ‘Video School’ and ‘Zoom.’ Plans are underway to expand support for ‘Google Meet’ and ‘Microsoft Teams’ in the future.
Furthermore, through the ‘DCU Video Education Platform,’ students can conduct not only regular classes but also department seminars and online student meetings via the video education system, increasing satisfaction for courses that require group project execution.
Lee Geun-yong, President of Daegu Cyber University, said, “We are pleased that our university’s smart portal learning management system (LMS) can provide a convenient learning environment for learners,” and added, “We expect that this platform development will create a learning environment that satisfies both learners and instructors.”
