Noryangjin 8 District in Daebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, will be transformed into a multi-family housing complex with 987 households through redevelopment.
On the 5th, Seoul City announced that the 'Noryangjin 8 Redevelopment Promotion Zone Redevelopment Promotion Plan Amendment and Landscape Review' was approved as originally proposed at the 3rd Urban Redevelopment Committee held on the 4th.
Noryangjin 8 District is adjacent to Yeouido and Daebang Station~Noryangjin Station to the north and was designated as a promotion zone in 2010. After the management disposition approval in 2021, relocation is currently underway in the district, and the redevelopment promotion plan was amended at this Urban Redevelopment Committee meeting.
The district has a total floor area of 99,489㎡, consisting of 9 apartment buildings and 2 terrace house buildings ranging from 4 basement floors to 29 above-ground floors, supplying a total of 987 multi-family housing units. Among these, 172 public housing units will be supplied in a mixed arrangement indistinguishable from the sale units.
Additionally, through public contributions, a public office building (1,018㎡) will be constructed, and a pedestrian-priority road and public pedestrian passage will be created on the east side of the district. These will be connected with adjacent districts to improve the surrounding streetscape and pedestrian environment.
Han Byung-yong, Director of the Housing Policy Office of Seoul City, said, "With this decision, the aging residential environment around the project site will be improved, and with excellent transportation conditions due to the double station area served by subway lines 1 and 9, it is expected that various types of housing will be supplied to meet diverse housing demands such as nearby Yeouido office workers and 2-3 person households."
