Gyeonggi-do to Supervise and Inspect Surveying Companies in the Province Until September Gyeonggi Provincial Government Gwanggyo New Office Building

Gyeonggi Province will conduct guidance and inspections of surveying businesses registered within the province until September 30 to provide high-quality surveying services to residents through the promotion of sound surveying businesses and to contribute to the protection of property rights.

The inspection targets include a total of 512 businesses: 36 public surveying businesses, 466 general surveying businesses, and 10 cadastral surveying businesses.

The inspection will cover compliance with legal registration standards for surveying technicians and equipment, expiration of performance inspection validity periods for surveying equipment, and maintenance of registration standards.

The province will first review legal violations through a primary written inspection by sending advance notices and self-inspection checklists to businesses, and then conduct a secondary on-site inspection for businesses suspected of failing to meet registration standards or those that do not comply with the self-inspection.

If illegal activities are detected as a result of the inspection, the province will impose administrative measures such as fines or cancellation of registration.

Last year, through a comprehensive inspection, the province identified and took administrative action against a total of 55 businesses, including 4 cases of unregistered operations, 7 cases of failure to meet registration standards, 8 cases of delayed change notifications, and 34 cases of delayed performance inspections of surveying equipment.

Ko Jung-guk, Director of the Land Information Division of the province, stated, "We will strive to promote sound surveying businesses through this survey," and urged, "We ask surveying businesses to continue to comply with legal registration standards and to carry out related notifications and inspections."
