Shilla University received a commendation plaque from the Speaker of the National Assembly at the 1st anniversary event of the National Assembly Busan Library.
The commemorative event was held on March 31 at 2 p.m. in the lobby on the first floor of the National Assembly Busan Library, attended by Shilla University President Heo Nam-sik, National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo, former Speakers Kim Hyung-o and Chung Eui-hwa, and key members of the National Assembly including Kim Do-eup, Park Soo-young, Park Jae-ho, Baek Jong-heon, Choi In-ho, and Hwang Bo-seung-hee.
This commendation plaque was prepared as a token of appreciation to honor the contributions of partner institutions that helped develop the National Assembly Busan Library.

Last October, Shilla University and the National Assembly Library signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a national academic information sharing platform and promote balanced regional development of knowledge culture.
Based on this, the Department of Library and Information Science at Shilla University operated a program titled “Library and Information Center Tours and Work Practicum with the National Assembly Busan Library,” completing industry-linked education last January to cultivate practical skills of enrolled students and implement education innovation tailored to social demand.
Additionally, Professor Cha Seong-jong of the Department of Library and Information Science at Shilla University was appointed as a material selection committee member of the National Assembly Busan Library, contributing to the development of social science collections, and was recognized for his contributions to nurturing local talent through mentoring activities for National Assembly Busan Library staff.
