The Gangseo Nakdonggang 30-ri Cherry Blossom Festival, marking its 6th year this year, is a representative spring festival of Gangseo-gu, Busan, held for the first time in four years due to COVID-19.

Against the backdrop of Busan Gangseo-gu’s beautiful ecological culture, including cherry blossoms, canola flowers, and natural wetlands, various events and promotional booths offered citizens diverse experiences and entertainment.

At this event, Let’s Run Park conducted ‘VR Horse Racing Experience’ using VR goggles and simulators to experience horse racing competitions, ‘Robot Horse Racing Competition’ utilizing ICT robots, and ‘Educational Horse Robot Making.’ Children had the opportunity to assemble and operate robots themselves, gaining great popularity.

The ‘Mini Horse Experience’ event, rarely seen nearby, attracted the most attention. This event showcased the most beloved ponies from Let’s Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam, ‘Bau’ and ‘Cocotree.’

Small and gentle ponies allowed children to easily approach and interact with them, winning the hearts of visitors.

Song Daeyoung, head of Busan-Gyeongnam, said, “It was an opportunity to promote ‘Let’s Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam,’ the representative family park of Busan-Gyeongnam, and to communicate with citizens,” adding, “I hope it provided a special experience for citizens to heal even for a moment in spring.”

At Let’s Run Park Busan-Gyeongnam, cherry blossoms and camellias are in full bloom, making it a popular spot for family picnics. The ‘Maljukgeori Market,’ held every Sunday, creates a festive atmosphere with various attractions and activities ranging from flea markets to food trucks.
