Dong-A University MBA Alumni Association Holds 26th Regular General Meeting

C&D Group Chairman Lee Cheol Appointed as General Alumni Association President

The Dong-A University Graduate School of Business MBA Alumni Association held its 26th regular general meeting and the 2023 president inauguration and retirement ceremony.

The event took place on the 31st of last month at the Crystal Ballroom on the 3rd floor of Lotte Hotel in Seomyeon, Busan, with attendance from Dong-A University President Lee Hae-woo, Alumni Association President Shin Jeong-taek, Graduate School of Business Dean Kim Wan-joong, MBA Alumni Association executives, and alumni.

At the event, alumni Chun Hwi-cheol from the 46th class, Lee Hyun-joo from the 47th class, and Hong Seong-bak from the 54th class, who received the ‘Proud Businessperson Award’ and ‘Proud Alumni Award,’ donated 15 million KRW to the Graduate School of Business development fund.

Subsequently, Lee Cheol from the 46th class, chairman of C&D Group, was inaugurated as the 27th president of the MBA Alumni Association, succeeding Jeong Seok-bong from the 44th class, CEO of Chamko Cheongha.

The new president said, “Personally, I feel proud, but I am also burdened with a heavy sense of responsibility and mission to be a junior who is not ashamed of the hard work many senior presidents have devoted to the alumni association. I hope that through communication and exchange among alumni, we can learn the wisdom to overcome global complex crises.”

President Lee Hae-woo said, “I sincerely thank outgoing president Jeong Seok-bong for his great contributions to the unity of the master’s alumni association over the past year, and I believe that the new president Lee Cheol will lead a more united alumni association with outstanding leadership. I also ask for your continued unwavering support as our alma mater advances toward becoming a leading world-class university.”

Outgoing president Jeong Seok-bong and outgoing secretary-general Park Bong-sik received the president’s plaque of appreciation, and Yoo Jae-hyun, CEO of Jungwon Tech from the 46th class, received the alumni association president’s plaque of appreciation.

Alumni Jeong Ho-gyun from the 45th class, Choi Uk-im from the 46th class, Choi Im-ho from the 47th class, and Jeong Yoon-joo from the 51st class received the Graduate School of Business dean’s plaque of appreciation, while alumni Lee Soo-ho from the 45th class, Choi Hae-ho from the 47th class, and Kang Min-jong and Kim Ji-hoon from the 53rd class received the master’s alumni association president’s plaque of appreciation.

The rice donated at the event was delivered to the social welfare facility Harmony House.
