HL Group promoted Lee Cheol-young, Vice President of HL Holdings' holding division, to President and appointed him as CEO of JJ Hanla on the 3rd.
The newly appointed President Lee was a key figure in driving the name change to 'HL Group' last August to enhance Hanla Group's brand value.
President Lee will serve as CEO of JJ Hanla concurrently with his promotion to President of the holding company. He has led joint investment development projects with Ananti, a resort-specialized company. Going forward, he plans to develop the Jeju Island business through various investment attraction methods.
The joint project between JJ Hanla and Ananti is a project to create the largest tourist attraction in Kimnyeong-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju Island. President Lee will lead the overall management of JJ Hanla together with Executive Director Baek Seung-hyun, who has worked on-site at JJ Hanla Jeju for over 10 years. Executive Director Baek oversees the Jeju regional business.
President Lee said, "I feel a heavy responsibility as I take on both the overall brand strategy and the development of the Jeju tourism platform project," adding, "I will do my best to enhance the value of the HL brand and successfully complete the Jeju tourism complex project this year."
