U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, who has completed a tour of three African countries, will visit the largest solar module factory in U.S. history built by Hanwha Solutions Q CELLS division (Hanwha Q CELLS) in Dalton, Georgia.
According to local media such as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) on the 2nd (local time), Vice President Harris is scheduled to tour the Hanwha Q CELLS factory located in Dalton on the 6th. This visit is part of the government-wide "Invest in America" campaign to promote the economic policy achievements of the Biden administration.
After visiting the factory, Vice President Harris is expected to deliver a speech highlighting how the economic legislation pursued throughout President Biden’s term has achieved results in addressing climate change and supporting business activities.
The White House stated, "The focus will be on the Biden-Harris administration’s efforts to build a clean energy economy and create jobs that pay well."
Earlier, Hanwha Solutions announced in January a plan to invest $2.5 billion (approximately 3.2 trillion KRW) to establish a solar integrated production complex called the "Solar Hub" in Cartersville, Georgia. At that time, U.S. authorities emphasized that the Solar Hub would become the largest clean energy factory in U.S. history and welcomed the construction of the factory.
