Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center, Agreement with National Institute of Animal Science
Group and Practical Training, Management Analysis, Solutions to Challenges
A consulting project is being conducted for young farmers challenging the Korean beef cattle farming sector in Ulsan.
The Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center (Director Shin Taeman) announced on the 2nd that it will conduct consulting for young Korean beef farmers until early December.
This consulting supports solutions to difficulties such as farm management analysis, feed cost reduction, and income improvement for each farm through group education and field training targeting 10 young Korean beef farmers in the Ulsan area.
This consulting is carried out under an agreement with the National Institute of Animal Science of the Rural Development Administration to foster young Korean beef farmers. It is the second-year program following last year's hub area consulting.

In 2021, the National Institute of Animal Science signed business agreements with five locations for the first term (Chungbuk Agricultural Technology Center, Ulsan Agricultural Technology Center, Hoengseong County Agricultural Technology Center, Yeonggwang County Agricultural Technology Center, and Sinan County Agricultural Technology Center) and promoted hub area consulting in 2022.
This year, to expand the young cooperative network in hub areas, the target livestock species (Korean beef, dairy) and selected regions increased significantly to 12 locations.
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “We aim to form a cooperative network of young Korean beef farmers in the Ulsan area, supplement the lack of field experience, and help improve stable income by enhancing Korean beef breeding technology capabilities.”
This year’s consulting aims to strengthen the professionalism of young farmers through essential field technical support such as artificial insemination technology and analysis of Korean beef shipment performance.
