'2023 Netherlands Entry Korean Companies Job Fair' Held in Amsterdam
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will hold the '2023 Korea Companies Recruitment Fair in the Netherlands' in Amsterdam, Netherlands, for four weeks starting from the 3rd. This fair is organized to resolve the difficulties in manpower recruitment faced by domestic companies operating in the Netherlands, the forefront of exports to Europe. As more than 1,000 Korean youths study abroad in the Netherlands every year, the event also aims to provide various employment opportunities for those who wish to settle locally after graduation.
The Netherlands serves as a European logistics hub, with about 70 sales and logistics corporations of large and medium-sized enterprises established there. Recently, the number of companies entering the power equipment sector for renewable energy projects centered around the North Sea and the gaming industry has been increasing. Boasting high openness, the country has business-friendly systems such as VAT deferral and customs automation. The ability to speak English fluently and the fact that regular employee wages are among the highest in the world are also advantages.

At this event, local HR experts including Pascal van Schaik, a lawyer from the Dutch law firm AKD, will present the latest employment and labor law precautions and various recruitment techniques to 37 companies. Separate company promotion sessions targeting job seekers will also be held by domestic companies. HR managers from each company, planning to hire a total of 78 talents, will review 175 resumes submitted in advance and conduct individual recruitment procedures such as interviews over the four weeks.
Jeon Chun-woo, head of KOTRA's Small and Medium Enterprises Division, said, “We will strive to resolve difficulties faced by local companies and help Korean youth secure overseas employment opportunities in various fields.”
