Changwon Special City Launches Life Empathy Policy Participation Group ... Expectations for Changwon Development

Awarding Ceremony of Appointment Letters and Discussion on Activity Directions

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the inauguration ceremony for the 9th Living Empathy Policy Participation Group on March 31st in the City Hall 3rd Conference Room.

The Living Empathy Policy Participation Group is an organization that discovers and proposes small but valuable ideas in daily life that the public can relate to, monitors national policies and city/provincial administration, and provides feedback on these matters.

The 9th Living Empathy Policy Participation Group of Changwon City was selected through a final review by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety after receiving online applications from January 9th to 18th, with a total of 49 members chosen.

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the inauguration ceremony for the 9th Living Empathy Policy Participation Group.

The participation group consists of individuals from various fields including housewives, office workers, self-employed persons, employees of public and private institutions, retirees, and university (graduate) students. They are expected to contribute to the development of Changwon City through various activities such as discovering policy ideas to resolve daily inconveniences, participating in policy fieldwork, and engaging in sharing and volunteer activities.

At the inauguration ceremony, in addition to the presentation of appointment letters, the 9th participation group gathered to discuss the direction of their future activities.

Ha Jongmok, the 1st Deputy Mayor, said, “We expect the newly launched 9th Living Empathy Policy Participation Group to discover various life-centered ideas from the citizens’ perspective and actively participate in policy fieldwork. We will always strive to listen to the diverse voices of citizens along with the opinions of the participation group.”
