Police Excavating Body Near Daecheong Dam in Daejeon
Three individuals who kidnapped and murdered a woman in front of an apartment in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, have been apprehended by the police.
The Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 31st that they have arrested three suspects who kidnapped a woman by vehicle in front of an apartment in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, and are currently investigating the case.
Two men in their 30s who directly kidnapped the woman were each arrested in the Seongnam area of Gyeonggi Province two days after the incident, and another man in his 30s, suspected of conspiring with them, was apprehended in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul. They are accused of kidnapping the female victim by putting her into a vehicle in front of an apartment in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at 11:46 p.m. on the 29th. It is reported that they assaulted the resisting victim and forcibly put her into the car.
During the investigation, the police received a confession that the woman was murdered and abandoned, and they are currently recovering the body near Daecheong Dam in Daejeon, the location where the body was abandoned.
A police official stated, "We will continue the investigation regarding the circumstances and motives of the crime, as well as the involvement of accomplices, based on the suspects."
