Cultivating Skilled Professionals to Lead Boseong Agriculture
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the 2023 Boseong Life Agriculture University 'Soil Experts Class' entrance ceremony on the 29th at the Agricultural Technology Center auditorium.
On this day, the entrance ceremony was held along with orientation, formation of the autonomous association, and the first session of education for 39 successful candidates of Boseong Life Agriculture University.
Since 2011, Boseong Life Agriculture University has been operating with the goal of fostering professional farmers by strengthening the capabilities of local farmers. It has established courses such as 'Agricultural Specialty Product Processing Class,' 'Strawberry Class,' and 'Fruit Tree Pruning Class,' and has trained 473 experts in various fields to date.
This education program will be conducted over a total of 17 sessions and 80 hours, starting from the entrance ceremony until November 22.
The curriculum is designed as customized education to enhance farmers' capabilities, consisting of theory education to improve overall knowledge of soil, and practical training such as soil testing, organic material manufacturing, and field trips to advanced sites.
An official from the Boseong Agricultural Technology Center said, "We hope that through this year's Boseong Life Agriculture University Soil Experts Class education, the students will accumulate professional agricultural knowledge and take a step forward in the development of Boseong agriculture."
Mr. Kim, who attended the education, expressed his aspiration, saying, "Through this education, I will understand the properties of our country's soil and acquire management skills to become a professional farmer capable of producing high-quality crops."
