Dongseo University and Highground recently signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement for the development of new content items and talent cultivation through an industry-academia collaboration project.
Attending the signing ceremony were Dongseo University’s Vice President Kim Jeong-seon, Director of Industry-Academia Cooperation Hwang Gi-hyun, Dean of the Im Kwon-taek College of Film and Arts Kim Dae-seung, Dean of Q College Kwak Joon-sik, Head of the Department of Media Contents Park Mi-seon, and Professor Yoon Tae-sik of the Im Kwon-taek College of Film and Arts.
From Highground, CEO Kim Hwan-cheol, Manager Shin Hye-young in charge of CFO, Manager Song Hye-seung in charge of CMO, and Manager Park In-hye in charge of CSO attended.
This agreement was established to mutually cooperate in the joint planning and development of new content such as films, OTT series, and digital short-form content, as well as related education and research activities.
In particular, they agreed to actively collaborate on ▲joint operation of educational programs for talent cultivation in new content item planning and development ▲joint operation of industry-academia projects for new content items ▲item pitching through industry-academia projects.
Kim Jeong-seon, Executive Vice President of Dongseo University, said, “By establishing and jointly operating industry-tailored academic courses, we will lay the groundwork for students of the Im Kwon-taek College of Film and Arts to enter the field and do our best to cultivate professionals needed in the competitive film content creation sector.” He added, “We hope that various projects, including the development of the local community and strengthening the competitiveness of both institutions, will be promoted more actively.”
Kim Hwan-cheol, CEO of Highground, said, “Through the industry-academia cooperation project with Dongseo University, we have not only gained the opportunity to secure outstanding talent but also expect to greatly contribute to the quantitative and qualitative development of the media market by discovering innovative new content.”
He continued, “With this collaboration, we will generously support the discovery of fresh and ingenious IP (intellectual property) that can emerge from the MZ generation and present it to the public.”
