Starting on the 30th and continuing for five days until the 3rd of next month, ‘Light from Gwanghwa; Shine’ was planned to promote the Korean people's enthusiasm for hosting the Busan Expo both domestically and internationally ahead of the visit by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) inspection team. Major domestic companies including SPC, Samsung, Hyundai Motor, SK, and LG are participating.

SPC set up a promotional booth themed ‘Wish Shop (a place where happy wishes come true)’ decorated with hand-drawn illustrations. Using SPC affiliate brands such as Paris Baguette, SPC Samlip, Baskin Robbins, and Dunkin’, various offline events wishing for the successful bid of the Busan Expo are also being held.

First, a ‘Happy Face’ event is being held where visitors can create support cards for the Busan Expo by freely expressing eyes, nose, and mouth on postcards shaped like round breads such as donuts and bagels, using a kit distributed on-site. Visitors who write support messages and participate in a lottery game can receive products from SPC’s major brands, including Paris Baguette’s bagels, Baskin Robbins’ block packs, Dunkin’s donuts, and SPC Samlip’s full moon bread.

The ‘Boogi’ communication character of Busan City is also featured, and the ‘Boogi Cake,’ which was previously sold exclusively at Paris Baguette stores in Busan and Gyeongnam regions, can be found at the booth. Additionally, SPC plans to actively spread public support for the Busan Expo by continuously broadcasting videos displaying the Busan Expo logo and support messages on digital menu boards installed in a total of 6,350 offline stores nationwide, including Paris Baguette, Baskin Robbins, Dunkin’, Pascucci, and Jamba Juice.

An SPC representative said, "We decided to participate in the Gwanghwamun Square event to contribute in some way to hosting a world-class event in the international city of Busan," adding, "We will continue to actively carry out various citizen-centered promotions to raise awareness of the Busan Expo."
