Promoted as a Public-Private Partnership Project with Participation from Hana Financial Group
Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam held an opening ceremony for the ‘National and Public Mijo Hana Daycare Center’ in Mijo-myeon.
The National and Public Mijo Hana Daycare Center was promoted after the only daycare center in Mijo-myeon, Mijo Ai Daycare Center, closed in February 2020.
After being finally selected in Hana Financial Group’s public-private partnership national and public daycare center contest project, in November 2020, ‘Namhae-gun - Hana Financial Public Welfare Foundation - Hansol Childcare Foundation’ signed a construction agreement and proceeded in earnest.

The total project cost was 942 million KRW, with 321 million KRW supported by Hana Financial Group, 256 million KRW from national and provincial funds, and 365 million KRW from the county budget. Construction began in March 2022 and was completed in December, with the opening ceremony held on the 30th.
Mijo Hana Daycare Center is a facility that can care for 20 infants aged 0 to 2 years old, with a site area of 327㎡, a total floor area of 171㎡, and a single-story building. It is equipped with a childcare room, play hall, and outdoor playground.
In particular, it was built with eco-friendly building materials, has a high ceiling and sufficient sunlight, and is expected to be a childcare space that enhances children’s creativity.
Jang Chung-nam, the county governor, said, “This daycare center was created with one heart and one mind by local residents who cherish children and Hana Financial, which is carrying out social contribution activities through support for childcare facilities. We will do our best to make Namhae a happy place for children where our future shining stars can run freely and unleash their infinite imagination in a comfortable space.”
The opening ceremony was attended by County Governor Jang Chung-nam, County Council Chairman Im Tae-sik, Namhae County council members, Gyeongnam Provincial Assembly member Ryu Kyung-wan, Lee Byung-jik, head of Hana Bank Busan-Gyeongnam Sales Headquarters, Park Kyung-ho, executive director of Hana Financial Public Welfare Foundation, Hansol Childcare Foundation construction officials, and parents. The event proceeded with the presentation of appreciation plaques, commemorative speeches, ribbon cutting, and facility tours.
Meanwhile, Namhae-gun is promoting the construction of the ‘Daga-chi Care Center,’ a complex care space that families and children can use together, to create a city good for raising children.
