Kim Giwan, Former LG Electronics Vice President, Appointed as Director of Andong Facilities Corporation

Kim Gi-wan, the new chairman of Andong City Facilities Management Corporation, will take office on April 1. Park Yi-seop, an adjunct professor at Andong University, was appointed as the standing director.

New chairman Kim Gi-wan began his career in 1986 as the head of LG Electronics' European branch, and has served as Executive Director of AV Overseas Sales, Vice President of LG Electronics Central Region, Vice President of Global Marketing at headquarters, Vice President of the HE Business Division, and Vice President and Head of the India Corporation.

During his 38 years of corporate life, Kim Gi-wan accumulated domestic and international experience by interacting with local business partners and consumers in over 150 countries to pioneer overseas markets and increase exports. His outstanding work execution ability and leadership as a corporate executive for 21 years, leading by example, were highly evaluated. He was appointed through a fair and strict open recruitment process by the corporation's executive recommendation committee.

Chairman Kim Gi-wan stated, “I will devote all my passion to realizing customer satisfaction through service for citizens and achieving the public value of a public enterprise, contributing to the construction of a new Andong that leads the future.” He added, “With the pure heart I had when pioneering overseas markets for the first time, I will modernize the Andong City Facilities Management Corporation.”

Standing Director Park Yi-seop earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Dongyang University Graduate School and served as the head of the Dong-A Ilbo Reader Center for 37 years. Currently, he is actively engaged in various fields, including nurturing future talents as an adjunct professor in the Department of Business Administration at Andong University.
