Hectofinancial '010PAY' Provides Estimated Comprehensive Income Tax Refund Inquiry Service

Techfin company Hecto Financial (formerly Settle Bank) announced on the 31st that its ‘010PAY’ app helps gig workers (special employment workers) such as part-time workers, substitute drivers, delivery riders, and freelancers to claim their comprehensive income tax refunds for free.

Ahead of the comprehensive income tax filing service ‘Jongsosae Check’ scheduled for May, 010PAY is launching the ‘Refund Amount Inquiry’ service for free and conducting related promotional events. The comprehensive income tax inquiry and filing service is provided in collaboration with the tax app service company ‘Taxbee’.

In this event, income tax filers can select their industry and business type in the ‘Calculate Income Tax’ tab within the 010PAY app, enter their income information, and automatically enter the draw while checking the expected refund amount. Any gig worker with business income can check the expected refund amount and participate in the event.

Income tax for gig workers and N-jobbers (people with two or more jobs) is subject to a 3.3% withholding tax and finalized after the comprehensive income tax filing in May. By filing, they can receive deductions for expenses and personal exemptions, making it a ‘May bonus.’ For example, a single-person household worker applying the simple expense rate who earns 10 million KRW annually can receive a refund of about 300,000 KRW. The refund amount varies depending on income scale, industry, household composition, etc., so checking the expected refund amount before filing is essential.

This event is a pre-promotion ahead of the launch of the ‘Jongsosae Check’ service and runs until the 30th of next month. Among users, 26 people will be selected by lottery to receive prizes such as ▲Honda scooter ▲LG Gram laptop ▲Hana Tour 1 million KRW gift certificate ▲Apple AirPods Max, and 5,000 people will receive 1,000 010PAY points.
